O que é a Vaginoplastia?

 

A vaginoplastia, também designada por cirurgia de aperto da vagina ou operação de vaginoplastia, é uma cirurgia de estética vaginal que tem como objetivo reconstruir, reparar ou restaurar o antigo aperto de uma vagina alargada.

 

 

Por que razão é efectuada a vaginoplastia?

 

A vagina, que se expande até à sua capacidade máxima durante o parto vaginal, não pode regressar totalmente ao seu estado original após o parto. O músculo e o tecido conjuntivo da vagina são gravemente danificados e, devido à perda de elasticidade, ocorre um alargamento permanente da vagina. Dependendo da gravidade do alargamento, a doente pode ter problemas durante as relações sexuais, o que pode prejudicar a sua autoestima, ou ter uma maior frequência de infecções vaginais. O alargamento da vagina também pode ocorrer com a idade. Em qualquer dos casos, a cirurgia de aperto da vagina é a opção preferida. A vaginoplastia também pode ser utilizada para reparar quaisquer problemas congénitos que a paciente possa ter.

 

Quais são as condições para a vaginoplastia?

 

A vaginoplastia é recomendada apenas para os seguintes pacientes:

 

  • Os pacientes que são suficientemente saudáveis para serem submetidos a anestesia geral.
  • As pacientes que têm uma anomalia congénita relacionada com a vagina.
  • As pacientes que têm um aumento da vagina que causa pelo menos uma das seguintes situações:
    • Perda de emoção e incapacidade de sentir prazer durante o ato sexual
    • Diminuição da libido
    • Sentir dor durante o ato sexual
    • Incontinência urinária
    • Infecções vaginais recorrentes
    • Perda de auto-confiança

 

Quais são os factores a ter em conta antes da vaginoplastia?

 

Antes da cirurgia, recomenda-se às pacientes o seguinte:

  • O doente deve estar no hospital um dia antes da cirurgia para efetuar os testes pré-operatórios.
  • O doente deve deixar de fumar e de consumir álcool pelo menos 2 semanas antes da cirurgia para reduzir o risco de coágulo sanguíneo.
  • O doente deve evitar medicamentos que contenham aspirina ou ibuprofeno (Advil, Motrin IB, outros) durante duas semanas antes e depois da cirurgia. Estes medicamentos podem aumentar o risco de hemorragia interna. Os pacientes devem confirmar cada medicamento e suplemento que desejam tomar com o coordenador do paciente.
  • O paciente deve parar de tomar suplementos multivitamínicos 7 dias antes da cirurgia, e a vitamina K não deve ser usada durante 30 dias após a cirurgia.
  • A paciente deve parar de tomar contraceptivos orais 30 dias antes da cirurgia.

 

O tratamento da vaginoplastia é único para cada paciente e é planeado como tal.

 

Quais são os factores a ter em conta após a vaginoplastia?

 

A vaginoplastia é efectuada sob anestesia geral. São de esperar dores ligeiras e hemorragias após a cirurgia. As pacientes devem tomar a medicação prescrita de acordo com as instruções do seu médico. Recomenda-se às pacientes que não efectuem exercícios pesados ou nadem durante, pelo menos, um mês após a cirurgia. Manter uma dieta saudável, não fumar e descansar deve acelerar a cicatrização após a operação. As pacientes podem começar a ter relações sexuais pelo menos 6 semanas após a cirurgia.

 

Quais são os riscos da vaginoplastia?

 

A vaginoplastia envolve alterações nos órgãos genitais, que é uma das áreas mais sensíveis do corpo, pelo que os cirurgiões actuam com precisão e cuidado extra ao realizar a cirurgia. As complicações da vaginoplastia são raras, mas alguns dos riscos são os seguintes

 

  • Infeção
  • Cicatrização
  • Hemorragia
  • Coágulos de sangue
  • Danos nos nervos
  • Forma incorrecta da vagina
  • Lubrificação desequilibrada
  • Reação adversa à anestesia

I had plastic surgery recently with Dr Yalcin and his wonderful team at Medistanbul. My lovely co-ordinator Karen was on hand for reassurance throughout the whole process from booking to post op care. She replied quickly and put me at ease when feeling anxious. The hospital (Medistanbul) was clean and modern however, I do have a little bit of constructive feedback regarding the hospital. 1.) Please get some new pillows as many of the pillows were like sleeping on golf balls. However when this was raised they did find me a more comfortable pillow. I did have to use a couple of the 'golf ball pillows' to prop myself up due to the fact I had extensive plastic surgery and needed 3 pilllows to even try and get comfortable. 2.) The sofa bed that my husband had to sleep on all week was extremely uncomfortable and stained. Once bedding was given this stain was covered so was not raised with the staff, however this sofa bed could do with upgrading.3.) The food is not great. (We do appreciate that it is hospital food) the variety is limited and it wasn't very warm. However, there is a little room with a kettle and snacks and this did include cereal and I enjoyed cereal in the morning rather than the strange Turkish breakfast. The hospital is in a great location and is next door to a shopping mall with lots of takeaways. The translators are happy to help ordering takeaways if you are alone. The hospital was clean and the cleaners came in everyday to do the floors and bathroom and change beds. The little tea/snack room is a grea to have for patients and companions. The translators in the hospital were great and always on hand if needed and friendly. They also came in a couple of times a day to check everything was OK and made sure we had everything we needed. The nursing staff at Medistanbul were absolutely fantastic! They were very friendly and went above and beyond. Dr Yalcin is a incredible surgeon and extremely talented. He does not speak English but there was always a translator with him to make sure we understood each other. Dr Yalcin was honest and managed my expectations of what he could achieve with surgery after 13 stone weight loss. When I woke up it turned out that he went above and beyond my expectations. I really liked that he was honest and didn't get my hopes up though, this is the sign of a very good surgeon in my opinion. When I returned home my co-ordinator has been great at contacting Dr Yalcin with any worries and again there has always been a quick reply. Overall I have had a great experience the only criticisms being the hospital itself. Also I had a blood transfusion whilst in surgery and needed to pay extra for this (which I was aware of as its in the surgery documentation that was sent) however the process of getting hold of a receipt for the cash paid (to claim through insurance). Getting a receipt was a difficult process and not great when you are trying recover: this should be looked into so that a receipt is given as standard when any cash is paid. Thank you to everyone at Booking Surgery! I will see you all again when I return to finish off my surgery in March 2025.

What an experience from start to finish. I can’t thank booking surgery enough. They went above and beyond. Chloe my coordinator was amazing always there to answer questions and message anytime. When I arrived at Istanbul was easy to find driver was given water and taken to yasam hospital met the nurses and translators all pre op tests where done was made to feel very comfortable. Next morning Dr Nebil came in at 8 am drawn me up and I was straight down to surgery. He is a magician I can’t belive my results I’m 2 weeks post op now and still swollen but so happy with my results so far. All the nurses, drs and staff took great care of me I had 4 blood transfusions and was so well looked after. On the way home I was taken direct to Turkish airways and looked after all the way through the airport I can’t thank you all enough such an amazing experience and look forward to seeing you all again next year for my thighs.

I used booking surgery end of July 2024 on recommendation for a gastric sleeve I was in contact with David Turker a patient coordinator after a long conversation with him he advised me to go for a sleeve as I had a lot of weight to loose if I didn’t get to my target weight I could have revision surgery from sleeve to bypass if I went straight for bypass and didn’t get to my target weight there would be nothing more they could do for me to get to my target weight he advised me that they offer full hospital stay from when I arrived to when I get discharged the day I fly home a lot of others offer 1st night before surgery hotel then hospital stay for 2 nights then night before you fly home hotel again he then advised me to use dr Ali tardu for my surgery at optimed hospital so I then reached the company hospital and surgeon before booking with them after booking it I had various questions that I kept thinking of every time I messaged him with different questions he answered them for me I arrived in Istanbul airport where I was met with the driver to take me to hospital on arrival I was met by the translator that showed me to my room they advised me to unpack my luggage have a shower then press the call button for the nurses when I was ready for my pre op tests to start then the next morning I was taken for last pre op test before my operation each time I was visited by the nurse they was accompanied by the translator explaining what was happening and when then the morning of surgery I met my surgeon and anaesthetist both accompanied by the translator explaining everything that was happening during and after surgery when I arrived back after surgery the translator was with the nurses explaining that all went well and what post op checks they do until I get discharged from hospital to fly back home My surgeon came to see me each day until I was discharged once I was home I had a video call from dietitian explaining each step going forward what I was and wasn’t allowed and explained if I have any questions don’t hesitate to ask her From start to finish the level of care I received was outstanding I cannot thank you all enough for everything you have done for me.

I have used bookingsurgery.com for the gastric sleeve in 2022, tummy tuck 360 in 2024 and had to return to have my breasts reduced and an uplift due to being anaemic during the tummy tuck operation. In 2022 I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism by the hospital in Istanbul (medicine hospital) and the surgeon refused to do the surgery as the risks were too great. I returned to the UK and got medical treatment from my GP and returned when my levels stabilised. Each time I have visited Istanbul for surgeries I am greeted by friendly staff whether it’s the transfer drivers, nurses, surgeons and the translators. I honestly would not go anywhere else my friends are also beginning their weight loss surgeries using them. I can not praise your company enough and I will forever be grateful for my new body. My coordinator Isabel Walker is also amazing any question I needed she answered quickly thank you
