Face Lift (Rhytidectomy) Surgery

What is Face Lift surgery?

Face Lift surgery, also known as Rhytidectomy, is a Plastic Surgery that aims to create a younger look in the face by removing the excess skin on the face.

Why is Face Lift performed?

Face Lift is a general term used to describe any cosmetic application in which signs of aging are corrected by tightening the skin on the neck, under the chin, and around the cheek. Face Lift Surgery aims to create a smoother, more youthful appearance. If the patient has noticeable signs of aging, wrinkles, or looks older than their actual age a Face Lift procedure can help to alleviate them.

How much does a facelift cost?

Facelift prices in Turkey can be more affordable compared to many Western countries, including the United States and parts of Europe. However, the cost of a facelift in Turkey can still vary based on factors such as the specific location within Turkey, the reputation and experience of the surgeon or clinic, the type of facelift procedure, and any additional services included in the package.

On average, a facelift in Turkey may cost anywhere from 3,500 to 5,000€ or more. This price generally covers the surgeon's fees, anesthesia, facility fees, and post-operative care. It's important to ensure that you choose a reputable, board-certified plastic surgeon or clinic with a good track record for safety and quality results.

It's also crucial to consider other expenses such as travel, accommodation, and potential pre-operative and post-operative care when calculating the total cost of getting a facelift in Turkey. While Turkey is known for its competitive prices for cosmetic procedures, it's essential to do thorough research and consult with multiple surgeons to ensure that you receive the best care and achieve your desired results.

Please keep in mind that prices can change over time, so it's advisable to contact clinics or surgeons directly for the most up-to-date information on facelift costs in Turkey.

What are the conditions for Face Lift Surgery?

The ideal candidates for Face Lift surgery are those whose face and neck skin has begun to sag, but their skin has not yet lost its elasticity. Patients who can safely undergo general anesthesia and have enough saggy skin are eligible for Face Lift. Face Lift surgery is usually applied to patients over the age of 40. However, Face Lift surgery can be performed in full or in a limited manner at earlier ages as well depending on the patient. Face Lift surgery is commonly combined with Rhinoplasty, Blepharoplasty, Forehead reduction, and Eyebrow Lift.

What are the Face Lift surgery types?

There are 4 types of Face Lift surgeries, but a Lower Face Lift is the same as a Neck Lift surgery and has a separate page with more information.

Full Face Lift

Also called a Deep Plane Lift, aims to eliminate the sagging skin at the base of the chin and the neck by lifting and strengthening the lax muscles in that portion of the face. Deep plane Face Lift involves the surgeon delving beneath the musculoaponeurotic system, SMAS. Located under the skin close to the muscles used for smiling and frowning, the surgeon will reposition, reshape, and smooth out the SMAS layer to iron out wrinkles and make the patient look younger and more radiant.

Mini Face Lift

Mini Face Lift involves the usage of small, inconspicuous incisions under the hairline so that the surgeon can skillfully tighten and smooth out the skin while removing excess tissue. A mini Face Lift is effective in reducing the appearance of jowls or eliminating them completely. Jowls usually form around the lower half of the cheeks and mouth as a result of reduced collagen production as people get older.

Mid Face Lift

As the name implies, Mid Face Lift targets the midsection of the face, particularly the cheeks. Unlike a Cheek Implant, the surgeon will either remove excess tissue or use existing tissue instead of Implants to lift up the cheeks, eliminate sagging, and remove wrinkles. Mid Face Lift is recommended to patients who don’t have jowls or marionette lines. However, it can also be performed in conjunction with procedures that remove jowls and marionette lines as well.

What Are The Things To Be Considered Before Face Lift?

Before Face Lift surgery, patients should:

  • Be at the hospital a day before their surgery for the pre operative tests to be performed.
  • Stop smoking and consuming alcohol at least 2 weeks before the surgery to alleviate the risk of a blood clot.
  • Avoid medication containing aspirin or ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin IB, others) for two weeks before and after surgery. These medications may increase the risk of internal bleeding. Patients should confirm each medication and supplement they wish to take with their Patient Coordinator.
  • Should stop taking multivitamin supplements a week and Vitamin K supplements a month prior to the surgery.
  • Stop taking oral contraceptives a month before the surgery.

Also, the patient's face will be examined and measured, and the surgeon might have photographs taken so that the patient can compare the appearance before and after the Facelift surgery.

What should I expect from a facelift consultation?

A facelift consultation is an important step in the process of considering and planning for a facelift surgery. During the consultation, you'll have the opportunity to meet with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss your goals, medical history, and the details of the procedure. Here's what you can expect from a typical facelift consultation:

1. Discussion of Your Goals:
   - You'll start by discussing your reasons for considering a facelift and your specific goals. Be prepared to explain what bothers you about your appearance and what you hope to achieve with the surgery.

2. Medical History:
   - The surgeon will ask about your medical history, including any pre-existing health conditions, allergies, medications, and previous surgeries. This information is important to ensure that you're a suitable candidate for the procedure and to identify any potential risks.

3. Physical Examination:
   - The surgeon will conduct a physical examination of your face and neck to assess your skin elasticity, muscle tone, and areas of concern. This examination helps the surgeon determine the most appropriate surgical approach for your unique needs.

4. Discussion of Options:
   - The surgeon will discuss different facelift techniques and options that may be suitable for you. These could include full facelifts, mini facelifts, neck lifts, and non-surgical procedures. They will explain the pros and cons of each option and recommend the one that best aligns with your goals.

5. Review of the Procedure:
   - The surgeon will explain the facelift procedure, including the incision placement, the removal of excess skin and fat, and the repositioning of facial tissues. They will also discuss the type of anesthesia used and the surgical facility.

6. Expected Results:
   - You'll receive information about what you can realistically expect in terms of results, including potential benefits and limitations of the surgery. The surgeon may show you before-and-after photos of previous patients to give you an idea of what's achievable.

7. Risks and Complications:
   - The surgeon will explain the potential risks and complications associated with facelift surgery, such as scarring, infection, bruising, and anesthesia risks. They will also discuss the steps taken to minimize these risks.

8. Recovery and Aftercare:
   - You'll be provided with information on the facelift recovery process, including post-operative care, downtime, and any restrictions on activities.

9. Cost and Financing:
   - The surgeon's office or clinic staff will provide you with a cost estimate for the procedure. They may also discuss financing options and payment plans if available.

10. Questions and Clarifications:
    - This is your opportunity to ask any questions or seek clarification on any aspect of the procedure. Make sure you fully understand the process, risks, and expected outcomes.

Remember that a facelift consultation is a two-way conversation, and it's important to be open and honest with your surgeon about your goals and concerns. It's also an opportunity for you to assess whether you feel comfortable with the surgeon and their recommendations. Take your time, gather all the information you need, and consider multiple consultations with different surgeons before making your decision.

Full Face Lift Procedure

A traditional Face Lift incision often begins in the hairline at the temples, continues around the ear, and ends around the lower scalp. Fat may be sculpted or redistributed from the face, jowls, or the neck and the underlying tissue is repositioned, commonly the deeper layers of the face and the muscles are also lifted

Mid Face Lift Procedure

The surgeon will make the initial incisions around the hairline and forehead to access the drooping facial muscles. Incisions may also be made for endoscopes to improve visualization. The doctor will then dissect the skin from the muscle in the forehead and cheek area. The muscles will then be fixated to a higher position, closer to the temples and the sides of the rim of the eye bone.

Mini Face Lift Procedure

Mini Face Lift is the least invasive kind of Face Liftm differing from the Deep Plane Lift by only the lack of the neck lift during Mini Face Lift surgery. Smaller incisions are used instead, but is still an invasive surgery and is the same as a Full Face lift.

What are The Things To Be Considered After Face Lift Surgery?

During the healing process, patients are advised to:

  • Not wear their contact lenses until a day after the surgery, glasses may be worn as soon as the bandages are removed.
  • Not take a shower for at least 2 days after the surgery and not use hair dryers for a month.
  • Not to color their hair until 6 weeks after the surgery.
  • Wear clothing that would avoid friction on the incision sites when worn or taken off.
  • Not to participate in strenuous physical activity, swimming or exercises that require rotating the head for 6 weeks after the surgery.
  • To turn around with their whole upper body, using their shoulders as well, to avoid putting pressure on the face and the neck.
  • Avoid gum or foods that are hard to chew.
  • Not to drive for 2 weeks after the surgery.
  • Not to smoke for a month after surgery as it can cause necrosis as well as infection, poor healing, scarring, and many other negative side effects.

What Are The Risks of Face Lift Surgery?

Risks of Face Lift Surgery include, but are not limited to:

  • Hematoma: A collection of blood under the skin is the most common complication of a Face Lift. A hematoma causes swelling and pressure, and usually forms within 24 hours of the surgery.
  • Nerve injury: Injury to nerves is rare. An injury can affect nerves that control sensation or muscles. This effect may be temporary or permanent.
  • Skin loss: Rarely, a face-lift can interrupt the blood supply to facial tissues. This can result in skin loss. Skin loss is treated with medications and appropriate wound care.
  • Hair loss
  • Bleeding
  • Infection

What should I expect during facelift recovery?

Facelift recovery is a crucial part of the overall facelift process. Here's what you can generally expect during the recovery period following a facelift surgery:

1. Immediate Post-Operative Period:
   - You will spend some time in the recovery area of the surgical facility to be monitored by medical staff as you wake up from anesthesia. This is typically a few hours.

2. Swelling and Bruising:
   - Swelling and bruising are common after a facelift. They are usually most pronounced in the first few days after surgery and gradually subside over the following weeks.

3. Pain and Discomfort:
   - You may experience some pain and discomfort, which can be managed with pain medication prescribed by your surgeon. You should take these medications as directed.

4. Dressing and Bandages:
   - Your surgeon will place dressings or bandages on the incision sites to protect them and help reduce swelling. These will be removed during a follow-up appointment.

5. Stitches Removal:
   - If non-dissolvable stitches are used, they will typically be removed about one week after the surgery.

6. Drainage Tubes (if used):
   - In some cases, drainage tubes may be placed behind the ears to remove excess fluid. These are usually removed after a day or two.

7. Rest and Recovery:
   - It's important to get plenty of rest during the initial recovery period. Elevating your head and using extra pillows while sleeping can help reduce swelling.

8. Activity Restrictions:
   - Your surgeon will provide guidelines on when it's safe to resume normal activities. Strenuous activities, heavy lifting, and exercise should be avoided for several weeks.

9. Diet and Hydration:
   - Maintain a healthy diet and stay hydrated to support the healing process.

10. Follow-up Appointments:
    - You will have follow-up appointments with your surgeon to monitor your progress and remove any sutures or dressings.

11. Skin Care and Sun Protection:
    - Your surgeon will recommend specific skincare and sun protection measures to help protect your skin and optimize your results.

12. Swelling Resolution:
    - Swelling will continue to improve over several weeks to months. It may take several months for your face to fully settle into its final shape.

13. Scar Care:
    - Your surgeon will advise you on scar care, which may include keeping incisions out of direct sunlight and using scar creams or gels as recommended.

14. Return to Normal Appearance:
    - It can take several weeks to months for you to see the final results of your facelift, as your face gradually heals and the swelling and bruising subside.

Keep in mind that individual recovery experiences can vary, so it's important to follow your surgeon's specific post-operative care instructions. If you have any concerns or notice any unexpected changes during your recovery, be sure to contact your surgeon's office for guidance and support. Facelift recovery can require patience, but the ultimate goal is to achieve a refreshed and more youthful appearance.

What to do if you have problems after facelift surgery?

If you experience problems or complications after facelift surgery, it's essential to address them promptly to ensure your safety and the best possible outcome. Here are some steps to take if you have issues after facelift surgery:

1. Contact Your Coordinator: The first and most important step is to contact your coordinator or Booking Surgery immediately. They are the best source of guidance and support. They have an understanding of your specific case and can provide tailored advice.

2. Follow Medical Advice: Listen carefully to your coordinator or surgeon's instructions and recommendations. They may have you come in for a follow-up appointment to assess the issue and provide treatment if necessary.

3. Pain and Discomfort:  If you're experiencing significant pain or discomfort, let your coordinator know. They may adjust your pain medication or recommend other ways to manage your discomfort.

4. Swelling and Bruising: Swelling and bruising are common after a facelift, but if they seem excessive or get worse instead of improving, contact your surgeon. They may need to evaluate for potential complications.

5. Infection: If you suspect an infection (signs can include increased redness, warmth, swelling, discharge, or fever), contact your coordinator immediately. Infections are rare but can be serious and need prompt treatment with antibiotics.

6. Bleeding: While some oozing is normal, if you experience persistent or excessive bleeding from the incision sites, contact your surgeon. They will advise you on what to do.

7. Unusual Changes: If you notice any unusual or unexpected changes in your face, such as asymmetry or skin color changes, report them to your coordinator.

8. Scarring: If you're concerned about the appearance of your scars or if they are not healing as expected, your surgeon can provide guidance on scar care and may recommend treatments to improve their appearance.

9. Skin Issues: If you experience skin issues such as rashes or irritation, inform your coordinator, as they can recommend appropriate skincare products and remedies.

10. Psychological Support: If you're struggling emotionally or psychologically with the recovery process or the results, don't hesitate to seek support from a mental health professional or counselor.

It's important to communicate openly and honestly with your coordinator and follow their guidance. In some cases, additional treatments or revisions may be necessary, but your coordinator will guide you through the process. The key is to act promptly and not delay addressing any concerns to ensure the best possible recovery and outcome.

How long does a facelift last?

The duration of the results of a facelift, often referred to as its longevity, can vary from person to person due to factors such as individual skin quality, genetics, lifestyle, and the specific techniques used in the procedure. However, on average, the results of a facelift can last anywhere from 5 to 10 years.

Here are some considerations for the longevity of facelift results:

1. Type of Facelift: The type of facelift you undergo can impact how long the results last. A full facelift that addresses multiple areas of the face may have longer-lasting results compared to a mini facelift, which is less extensive.

2. Skin Quality: The quality and elasticity of your skin play a significant role in how long the results last. Younger individuals with better skin quality often experience longer-lasting results.

3. Lifestyle Factors: Lifestyle choices such as sun exposure, smoking, diet, and skincare habits can affect the longevity of facelift results. Protecting your skin from the sun, not smoking, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can help prolong the effects.

4. Genetics: Your genetics can influence how your skin ages. Some people naturally have more resilient skin and may experience longer-lasting facelift results.

5. Non-Surgical Maintenance: Many individuals choose to complement their facelift results with non-surgical treatments like Botox, dermal fillers, and skin care regimens. These treatments can extend the longevity of the facelift results.

6. Natural Aging: While a facelift can provide a significant improvement in the appearance of the face, it doesn't stop the aging process. Over time, you will continue to age naturally, but from a "younger starting point."

7. Maintenance and Revisions: Some people opt for secondary facelifts or touch-up procedures as the initial results begin to fade. These can help maintain a refreshed appearance.

It's important to note that while the results of a facelift are not permanent, they can have a long-lasting and rejuvenating effect. The specific duration of your facelift results will depend on your unique circumstances. To maximize the longevity of your facelift, it's important to follow a healthy lifestyle, protect your skin from the sun, and consult with your plastic surgeon for any maintenance or revision procedures if needed. Your surgeon can provide guidance on how to best care for your results and keep your appearance looking youthful.

Is 50 too old for a mini facelift?

No, 50 is not too old for a mini facelift. Many individuals in their 50s and beyond choose to undergo a mini facelift or other facial rejuvenation procedures to address signs of aging and achieve a more youthful appearance. The decision to have a mini facelift at this age depends on individual factors, including the extent of aging, personal goals, and overall health.

A mini facelift is a less extensive procedure compared to a full facelift, and it is often chosen by individuals who have milder signs of aging or want a more subtle improvement. It can be an excellent option for addressing sagging skin, jowls, and wrinkles in the lower face and neck.

Here are some considerations for undergoing a mini facelift at age 50 or older:

1. Extent of Aging: If you have mild to moderate signs of aging, such as sagging skin and jowls, a mini facelift can provide effective rejuvenation.

2. Individual Goals: Your personal goals and expectations for the procedure are essential. A mini facelift can provide a more natural and subtle enhancement, which may be preferable for some individuals.

3. Health and Fitness: Being in good general health is important for any surgical procedure. Your surgeon will assess your medical history to ensure you are a suitable candidate.

4. Consultation with a Surgeon: Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate your specific case and discuss the best options for achieving your goals. They can help determine if a mini facelift is the right choice for you.

5. Realistic Expectations: It's important to have realistic expectations about the outcomes of the mini facelift. While the procedure can provide a more youthful appearance, it won't make you look dramatically younger. Discussing your goals with your surgeon during the consultation is crucial.

Ultimately, age alone should not be a determining factor when considering a mini facelift. Many individuals in their 50s and beyond can achieve satisfying results with this procedure. The decision should be based on your individual appearance, goals, and consultation with a qualified plastic surgeon who can guide you toward the most appropriate options for facial rejuvenation.

What is the average age a woman gets a facelift?

The average age at which a woman gets a facelift can vary depending on individual factors, including genetics, lifestyle, and personal preferences. There is no one specific age that applies to all women, and the decision to undergo a facelift is highly individual. However, the typical age range for women considering facelift surgery is generally between 40 and 60 years old. Some women may choose to have a facelift in their 50s or even 60s, while others may opt for the procedure in their 40s or earlier, depending on their specific circumstances.

Factors that influence the timing of a facelift for women include:

1. Visible Signs of Aging: Women typically consider a facelift when they begin to notice visible signs of aging, such as sagging skin, jowls, wrinkles, and a loss of facial volume. The severity of these signs varies from person to person.

2. Individual Goals: Personal goals and expectations for the procedure play a significant role in determining when a woman chooses to have a facelift. Some may prefer to address early signs of aging, while others may wait until the signs are more pronounced.

3. Health and Fitness: Being in good overall health is essential for any surgical procedure. Women should be in good health and free from medical conditions that could pose risks during surgery or recovery.

4. Consultation with a Plastic Surgeon: The decision to have a facelift should be made in consultation with a qualified plastic surgeon. The surgeon can assess the individual's specific case and discuss the best options for achieving their goals.

5. Realistic Expectations: It's important for women to have realistic expectations about the outcomes of a facelift. The procedure can provide a more youthful appearance, but it won't make someone look dramatically younger.

Ultimately, the timing of a facelift is a highly personal decision. It's based on the individual's appearance, goals, and consultation with a plastic surgeon who can provide personalized advice based on their unique needs and circumstances. Age is just one of several factors to consider when determining the right time for a facelift.

What age is best for facelift?

The ideal age for a facelift can vary from person to person and is not solely determined by chronological age. Instead, the decision to have a facelift is typically based on individual factors, including a person's appearance, goals, and the extent of facial aging. While there is no one-size-fits-all answer, here are some general guidelines:

1. Visible Signs of Aging: The most common reason for getting a facelift is the presence of visible signs of aging, such as sagging skin, deep wrinkles, and jowls. These signs can start to become noticeable in the late 40s to early 60s, but they can vary widely based on genetics and lifestyle factors.

2. Individual Goals: A person's goals and expectations play a significant role in determining the right age for a facelift. Some individuals may choose to have a facelift at an earlier age to address mild signs of aging, while others may wait until the signs are more pronounced.

3. Non-Surgical Alternatives: Before considering a facelift, many individuals explore non-surgical treatments like Botox, dermal fillers, and skin care regimens to address early signs of aging. These treatments can help delay the need for surgery.

4. Overall Health: The individual's overall health is an important consideration. The person should be in good general health and not have any medical conditions that would pose risks during surgery or the recovery process.

5. Psychological Readiness: It's important for individuals to be mentally and emotionally prepared for the procedure and understand the potential risks and recovery involved.

6. Consultation with a Plastic Surgeon: The best way to determine if you're a suitable candidate for a facelift is to have a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. They can assess your specific case, discuss your goals, and provide recommendations based on your unique needs and circumstances.

Ultimately, the decision to have a facelift should be made in consultation with a qualified plastic surgeon who can provide personalized advice based on your situation. Plastic surgeons evaluate each patient individually to determine when a facelift is appropriate and can help achieve the desired results. Keep in mind that the timing of a facelift is a highly individual decision, and what matters most is your personal satisfaction with the results and your overall well-being.

How many years younger do you look after a facelift?

The number of years you look younger after a facelift can vary widely from person to person and depends on several factors, including the type of facelift, the extent of facial aging, and individual variations. On average, a well-executed facelift can make you look about 5 to 10 years younger. However, it's essential to understand that this is a general estimate and not a guarantee, as results are highly individual.

Factors that influence the extent of rejuvenation achieved through a facelift include:

1. Type of Facelift: The type of facelift you choose (e.g., full facelift, mini facelift, neck lift) and the techniques used will impact the degree of improvement.

2. Extent of Aging: The severity of the signs of aging prior to the procedure will influence the results. Those with more pronounced sagging and wrinkles may experience a more significant transformation.

3. Skin Quality: The quality and elasticity of your skin can affect how well it responds to the facelift. Younger individuals with better skin quality often achieve more dramatic results.

4. Lifestyle Factors: Lifestyle choices, such as sun exposure, smoking, diet, and skincare habits, can influence the longevity and effectiveness of the results.

5. Post-Operative Care: Proper aftercare, including skincare and protection from sun exposure, can impact the longevity of the results.

6. Individual Variations: Each person's healing process and response to surgery are unique, and there can be variations in outcomes.

Facelifts are designed to provide a natural, refreshed appearance rather than creating an unnatural or overly tightened look. The goal is not to make you look like a different person but to help you look like a more youthful version of yourself.

The best way to determine the potential results of a facelift is to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon. During your consultation, the surgeon will evaluate your specific case, discuss your goals, and provide a more accurate assessment of the age-reversing effects you can expect from the procedure. Keep in mind that your satisfaction with the results is highly subjective and depends on your personal goals and expectations.

Does skin age faster after a facelift?

A facelift is a surgical procedure designed to reverse the signs of facial aging by lifting and repositioning sagging skin and tissues. It does not inherently cause the skin to age faster. In fact, a well-executed facelift can provide a more youthful appearance and effectively address sagging skin and wrinkles, making the skin look smoother and tighter.

However, it's important to note that while a facelift can provide long-lasting results, it does not stop the natural aging process. Over time, your skin will continue to age, but from a "younger starting point" due to the effects of the facelift. The rate at which your skin ages after a facelift is influenced by various factors:

1. Genetics: Your genetic makeup plays a significant role in how your skin ages. Some individuals naturally have more resilient skin, which may age more slowly.

2. Lifestyle Choices: Lifestyle factors such as sun exposure, smoking, diet, and skincare habits can affect the rate of skin aging. Protecting your skin from the sun, not smoking, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can help slow down the aging process.

3. Skincare: Proper skincare and maintenance are essential to preserve the results of a facelift. Following your surgeon's recommendations for post-operative care and using appropriate skincare products can help maintain the appearance of your skin.

4. Non-Surgical Treatments: Some individuals choose to complement their facelift results with non-surgical treatments like Botox, dermal fillers, and skin rejuvenation procedures. These treatments can extend the longevity of the facelift results.

5. Aging Process: The natural aging process involves a gradual loss of collagen and elastin, leading to the development of new wrinkles and skin laxity. This process continues but typically starts from a more youthful point after a facelift.

In summary, a facelift does not speed up the aging of the skin; instead, it helps address the visible signs of aging. The longevity of the results and the rate at which your skin ages afterward are influenced by various factors, including genetics, lifestyle choices, and skincare maintenance. Proper care and attention to these factors can help you maintain a youthful appearance for an extended period after a facelift.

Jayden reviewed Sleeve feb 2023 Dr Katar & 360 FDL uplift & Implants April 2024 Dr Nebil

So I originally researched a lot of companies to have my sleeve a year prior to actually having it, and booking surgery was always the one that seemed to stand out the most for all the right reasons. I went ahead and had my sleeve in February 2023 done by the very talented Dr Katar, after losing over 8 and half stone, then maintaining for several months I decided it was time for plastics, so I got in contact with my coordinator Rob Campbell and began researching which plastic surgeon I wanted, Rob was very helpful through each step of the booking process, any questions I had he answered in detail, I went ahead and booked with Dr Nebil Selimouğlu to have a 360 FDL, mons lift, muscle repair and breast uplift with implants under the muscle. I had this surgery done on 15th April 2024 at Yasam hospital, and I don’t have any complaints, the hospital was well equipped and clean, the nurses, staff & translators was all great, if I did occur anything I was unsure of I told one of the translators and it was dealt with straight away, Oscar was my favourite translator, he was very caring and compassionate and nothing was too much trouble. Dr Nabil is a magician, he’s work is impeccable and he is such a nice caring man. He came to see me every day sometimes twice a day while I was there, I think having full hospital stay while there really helps with recovery. I am very early into my recovery journey but already thinking about my next round of plastics again with Dr Nebil. I can’t recommend this company, doctors, nurses, staff and translators enough! Thanks all at booking surgery, I will see you again in the future.

customer reviewed Dr Yalcin At Medistanbul

FDL & MINI BRA LINE LIFT This was my second lot of plastic surgery with booking surgery. My surgeon was Dr Yalcin, he is also known as Dr Yummy🤣. My Coordinator was Nina Ord and she had arranged a transfer from the airport to the hospital for when I arrived, the driver was there ready and waiting as soon as I got to gate 8 (the collection point) he helped me and my companion with our bags and was very polite. The transfer from the airport to the hospital was about 30mins. I was then greeted by two members of booking surgery staff April & Lilly. My room wasn’t quite ready but while we were waiting they took myself and my companion for something to eat. Medistanbul is a new hospital that booking surgery are using so I was quite nervous about going somewhere that I hadn’t been before as my previous surgery was at medicine with Dr Yalcin. All pre op tests was done within a few hours and I was then able to walk about the mall next door to the hospital and check out my surroundings. The rooms are spacious, clean, you also have Netflix to watch too. Fast forward to the day of my surgery I reminded Dr Yalcin that I was quite poorly with my first lot of plastics and he was able to change some medication around so I wasn’t poorly when I come around. I am currently 4 days post op and I couldn’t be happier. The aftercare from Dr Yalcin has been great. Always answered any questions or worries I had. Translators Morgan, Naz and Lilly are always around if you need any help with anything. Always knocking on your door checking in on you and asking if you need anything. The cleaners have been cleaning my room on a regular basis, the nurses have been answering my buzzer when needed. Kept me up to date with my pain killers and ext. Google translate is a good app to have just in case you need something and the translators are busy with another patient. Over all my experience at medistanbul has been fab and if I wanted to come back for anything else with Dr Yalcin wouldn’t hesitate.

Natalie Innes reviewed Amazing experience by the best team!

During my time looking into various surgeons I came across many reviews and friends who had been to Turkey. I work within a professional legal setting and made checks into the experience of the surgeon and his work prior to being at Optimed. It took time to get a date that suited my work commitments as I needed time to recover. I was soo glad I waited for the best surgeon who specialises in real curves and getting the best shape to enhance my shape and goals. Dr Mehmet Emin Atil spent time going over my plans for surgery and explored the procedure in detail. He has faultless english and a reassuring nature. I do not need other surgery but my family members will and I wont hesitate to recommend. The hospital and staff are soo friendly and kind. I even managed to teach them some Glaswegian. The hospital is absolutely spotless and is central for companions to explore and have time for themselves whilst you recover. It was great having support by all the staff who are so friendly and helpful with everything. Optimed for me was a pleasant stay and the hospital is far superior to anything you will experience in the Uk.

Becki Acko reviewed Booking Surgery 3rd visit and once again very happy

I have been a total of 3 times to Istanbul via booking surgery. Each time I book Dr Soner Karaali as he is just amazing! From first contact and booking with my co-ordination Nina to leaving I never have had any issues or complaints. You are picked up from the airport and taken to your hospital, on arrival all relevant tests are carried out to ensure you are fit and healthy for the surgery. On the morning the surgeon visits and goes through what you would like as pre discussed and once agreed for desired results you are drawn up and then taken to theatre. The hospital staff, nurses and cleaning crew are always so kind and caring, friendly and professional. You have interpreters on hand 24/7 asking if you would like/need anything. All meals are provided too as well as protein shakes throughout the day. This visit I’ve had the amazing Lily, Morgan, Frank, Naz and Gabriel. Nothing is too much trouble at all they are fantastic. And most importantly my surgical results are as always phenomenal if I do say so myself 🩷

Marisa Mercieca reviewed Highly recommended

I have been looking through this surgery for years. Finally I have decided to make it and here I am !! I can’t thank all the lovely people that helped me through this journey. It all started from a Facebook add and I ve sent a request to learn more information. Very shortly the consultant contacted me on what’s app. She was super helpful and friendly, I felt well prepared before coming to Turkey. When we got here we found a driver waiting for us and took us to the hospital. My partner came on the trip with me and was allowed to spend everyday with me including three meals a day and sleeping in the same room which was very supportive for me. I cannot not mention the gentle translators that works here, they come to check on you very frequent and make sure you have everything you need and you are comfortable. Most of all a big thank you goes to the lovely nurses and care workers!! They are super kind and helpful!! Their care they show for the patients is impeccable. Thank you all for your dedication. Also i would like to thank Dr Ali Tardu and his team that they have done a super job! Thank you all ❤️ surely recommend!

Pauline Davie reviewed Booked a Deep Plane Face and Neck Lift…

Booked a Deep Plane Face and Neck Lift with Dr Soner through my coordinator Mike Smith who arranged everything. From being met at the airport, transfer to the hospital, all necessary tests, scans, X-rays, etc. Met my surgeon the next morning to discuss my operation. From start to finish I have been looked after 100%. Interpreters are on hand 24/7 to help with anything you want or need. The rooms are large, modern, well equipped and clean. I was so excited about having this procedure and am delighted with my results. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend BookingSurgery.com to anyone who’s looking for any plastic surgery procedures.
